Uncommon Valor is a very fitting title of this cutting of the flag raising at Iwo Jima. Jeff Zaffino created this pattern and it was a lot of fun to cut. Lots of small cuts very close together. I cut it on 1/8" baltic birch, 11" X 14" in size. When I saw the pattern at first I thought it was way too busy and tried to simplify it, but I'm glad I didn't, because I think all the small cuts show the look of the camoflauge uniforms and really give it a very striking look. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Clint Eastwood
This Clint Easwood pattern was created by Charlie Dearing - a fantastic pattern maker from Texas. The silhouette effect in this portrait really makes it a striking image. It has a lot of fragile cuts and leaves very little wood to hang on to the edges. It's just a great portrait.

Praise Him with the Strings
Psalm 150 begins and ends with "Praise the Lord". Within this Psalm several musical instruments are mentioned to use to "Praise HIm" - the trumpet, the harp, the timbrel, the pipe, and in verse 4 it says to "Praise Him with the Strings". I doubt if the writer of this Psalm knew what a guitar was, but today guitars are used often to offer praise and worship. This pattern was made by Kerry Hallam, he makes such realistic patterns. I have cut and sold many copies - this is one of my favorites!
